Our Approach
The remit for the project was to implement ISO9001:2008 within the three separate
Intelect companies, these being:
- Intelect UK
- Intelect Machine Services
- Intelect Mechanical
- Electrical installations and panel builders
- Precision machine engineering
- Mechanical engineering for process plants
Programme commencement: September 2010
To achieve quality management across the entire business process chain it was recognised
that the QSP Solutions needed to:
- develop the management systems based on the individual companies core processes
- assess the client needs and business value of meeting them
- establish the right processes and select the optimum solutions
- promote the spread of internal and external best practices
Critical Success Factors:
In the case of Intelect our analysis led to the identification of 7 Critical Success Factors:
- An agreed and fully integrated approach to the management systems
- The involvement and buy-in of the management team within each company
- Training of internal auditors and general quality management principle training
- Involvement and input from the workforce in the development of best practice
- The development of significant key performance indicators
- A comprehensive set of management reviews
- The development of company based quality / business objectives
Lloyds Register Quality Assurance were chosen as the certification body
Our Achievements
The following achievements were made:
- Intelect UK achieved certification to ISO9001 in November 2010
- Intelect Machine Services achieved certification to ISO9001 in December 2010
- Intelect Mechanical achieved certification to ISO9001 in January 2011
