Interlift Ltd specialise in the testing and supply of lifting equipment. The company were incorporated in 2007.

The management of the company decided at the onset to go for ISO9001 and then OHSAS18001 certification. The third phase was the development of an employment law program to ensure the company were compliant with UK employment law.

QSP Solutions were given the task of developing the management systems and programs.

Phase 1 – ISO9001

The ISO9001 Quality Management System within Interlift commenced in October 2007. Lloyds Register Quality Assurance were the certification body chosen.

The Quality Management System included the following:

• Quality Policy
• Business Manual
• Mandatory Quality management procedures
• Operating procedures
• Standard forms
• Internal audits
• Management reviews
• Training records / matrix

The stage 1 audit to ISO9001 was scheduled for December 2007 and the stage 2 audit for February 2008.

 

Phase 2 – OHSAS18001

The OHSAS18001 Health and Safety Management System within Interlift commenced in October 2008. Lloyds Register Quality Assurance were again chosen as the certification body.

The Health and Safety Management System included the following:

• Health and Safety Policy and Manual
• Health and Safety Procedures
• Safe Working Procedures
• Legal Compliance Registers and Logs
• Risk Assessments
• Health and Safety Audits
• Management reviews
• Health and Safety Training

The stage 1 audit to OHSAS18001 was scheduled for November 2008 and the stage 2 audit for January 2009.

 

Phase 3 – Employment Law Program

The Employment Law Program included the following:

• Contracts of Employment
• Employee Rules Booklet
• Discipline and Grievance Procedure
• Standard employment law letters
